Frankly there are some times when we must abandon Stallman-mania > and return to sanity and realism - i.e. use the EvilProprietary(tm) version > of the Flash player _when we want to_ and not when it becomes Free(tm). I don't think its about Stallman at all - the question is do you want something you don't really need? Its another load on the pc, another pain to upgrade, another potential security hole! People think they have to pay money to buy software to create flash which gives the company money to advertise and convince people that this is the only way etc etc. As a software developer there is a very close similarity between M$ and adobe - neither of them do anything you cant do for free but the development tools make it all too easy not to consider them. But that doesn't mean I should force it on my customers! By simply informing companies that use flash you are not going to use it and they don't really need to then real alternatives will surface - like html/javascript for almost all flash. Its the ten million flies argument - or bottled water: generally worse for you and 10000 times the price of the stuff that comes out of the taps - oh and you have to pay to get rid of the bottle too!
