My dad recently bought an Wireless ADSL router from eBuyer that has a USB port for an external printer from eBuyer which was fairly cheap with a decent range. Other than that I could possibly get hold of a couple of old Jet Direct boxes. Just need to find a cheap printer - that I probably can't get. Another option for a print server would be a basic Linux box with proxy and content filtering and a parallel printer hanging off the back of it. I have sent an e-mail to my boss (and cc'd in the station administrator and the other engineer for the area) and mentioned about the potential cost savings to the company (give the machines away rather than paying to have them disposed) and the possibility of Rick & Kerry featuring it in their Saturday article in the Herald Express and getting a mention on the radio. I just see my work donating the machines as a better use of some still functional hardware - I don't like chucking hardware away unless it really is broken beyond repair.
