it is an xda2. as far as i've found there's no linux support for the
phone module and writing my own is beyond me.

mine uses word recognition as far as i can tell. It rarely (if ever)
spells things wrong. it's more likely to pick the wrong word. and if
you're not writing a word it tends to pick one for you.

just saying what i expect. if i'd tried it it would't be an
expectation :p but you're right that i have no real evidence to base
it on.
