Both vendors offer hot swapable hard drives, which would mean that you dont need to shutdown to replace faulty drives (should it happen) obviously it comes at a cost, but thats the decision that needs to be made.. can they afford the downtime over the cost outlay ?? I have found the service from both vendors very good, with IBM being marginally better with their communication (this was a few years ago mind you) Response times on hardware failure, supported OS's, duration and cover level of warrenty would be paramount in my mind HTH Neil -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFDCsBz3Av8JKgzxQRAlX/AKCrie9FvkDyc2g19aIEmei/Wa2DtACgoa5K fVoEX7dwa/9tdUzBBmWCfXY= =cMxT -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
