My first PC was a 25mhz 486DX with 16meg ram & Win 3.1 Ir ran compuserve 1st then AOL then with AOL connection running in the background Netscape loaded up. The swap file thrashed around for a minute or so but once up & running it was fine as long as I dodn't try to open anything else. I didn't have many options in 1996. The following year with a K6400 and 32 megs of ram I don't remember netscape being anyfaster but then win95 was running as well.
