On a similar note to this, I am sure apple used to do things differently again to both Unix and Windows, Now OSX is based on a Unix / Linux type environment how are Newlines and carraige returns handeled, now, I am asking as I want to be able to download and edit my files for various websites and not have the same problem I do if I try and edit such files in notepad.exe under windows. Hopefully I can get hold of a mac, as a few of the staff here have macs, running osx. AFAIK Unix does LF not CR Windows does CR and LF and Macs used to do something else. causing real problems, I really miss Linux - wahhhhhh Paul -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
