Firstly, are you using a USB ADSL modem or a router? If a USB modem, what is the make/model? Was it detected by Fedora when you installed? Have you done anything to configure it manually? You can check if it was detected by going to Desktop -> System Settings -> Network and seeing if the modem is listed (at least that's right for Fedora Core 4, I suspect 5 is the same). Your TalkTalk CD will not be of any use to you under Linux - you'll need to use the tools provided by Fedora.
