[LUG] VLC + DVD = segfault
Hi
Here is the output and commentary of my actions while trying to play a Yes Minister DVD with VLC.
ben@ubuntu:~$ vlc
VLC media player 0.8.4 Janus
GTK Accessibility Module initialized
File > Open Disc...
I click "probe discs" and the audio track is changed to 0. Device name is empty.
I click OK.
libdvdnav: Using dvdnav version
0.1.9 from http://dvd.sf.net
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.9 for DVD access
libdvdread: Can't stat
No such file or directory
libdvdnav: vm: faild to open/read the DVD
libdvdread: Can't stat
No such file or directory
[00000273] dvdread demuxer error: DVDRead cannot open source:
ioctl(): Input/output error
[00000276] vcdx access error: error reading Info sector (150)
[00000272] main input error: no suitable access module for `dvd://'
[00000263] main playlist: nothing to play
If I then return to Open Disc... and click "probe discs" again, it segfaults.
This is on Ubuntu Dapper. Am I doing something very wrong, or is it a bug in VLC?
