I miss-read the price quoted, at either exchange rate the price in pounds is 4.99, so it is a pound cheaper than lycos. I use a nationwide credit card, which seems to be close to the rates quoted on xe.com (the last transaction was only 2p a domain more than the cost calculated using xe, so 5.01). The lycos price does seem too good to be true. Is there an exit fee if you want to change tag holder (if the price goes up)? Do they charge a higher rate for renewals? Both things I have seen on sites that offer cheap domains.
