There is also this page: http://www.hermann-uwe.de/blog/my-new-toy-the-canon-powershot-a610-and-how-to-use-it-with-linux Called "My new toy: the Canon PowerShot A610, and how to use it with Linux". Again that page suggests using gPhoto 2. Hope this helps. I did find a link a link to an RPM for Mandrake here: http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/mandriva/2006.0/i586/media/delta_main/gphoto2-2.1.6-3mdk.i586.html It appears that your camera is supported in the latest CVS version of gPhoto2.
