I am probably a bit confused. I upgraded Thunderbird to the latest version by downloading the gz file and extracting it. Now I have both versions available. Since I am normally the only one using Linux I extracted it into my home folder. That is fine, but does this mean that any other users that I set up will not be able to use it? I now have the gz file for the latest version of Firefox waiting. Where should I extract such files so that any user can see them? And should I remove old versions first? If so what happens about my data? TIA Neil Winchurst -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
