(Preferences|Composition|Spelling|Language). What version of Tbird are you using? This has been driving me batty for months. I don't have the Spelling > Language option on Composition or anywhere else. I have actually downloaded the installer for the localised "UK English" version of Thunderbird, but as the one I currently use is embedded in Xandros, I can't figure out where to install the updated one to overwrite it. Any suggestions please? :) Kind regards, Julian
Version 1.5.0.1 wouldn't let me into the Compo page. It just showed a cryptic error dialog. I had a gut feeling it was a spell-checker problem so I switched off the spell-checking option in prefs>compo. The error persisted but so did my gut feeling. I installed the en_GB dictionary. No more error messages and I was able to get into the Compo page. I'm guessing last night's upgrade to version 1.5.0.2 was in part to fix this problem. When I've got time I might look at the bug reports. Keith - The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
