Quoting Julian Hall <lists@xxxxxxxxxxxx>:
Assuming you mean mother board ;) Abit UL8 SKT939 ULI M1689 single chip Chipset Dual DDR400 AGP SATA ATX Ebuyer quickfind code 96986 I picked that because it's the only socket 939 board they do that has AGP. If you're not concerned about AGP and can afford a PCI-E gfx card your options are wider. Only concern is the ULI chipset - never head of it. Oh.. and it takes up to 4Gb RAM and is £28.90 inc VAT. Kind regards, Julian
ULI aren't too bad, they used to make cheapo chipsets. IIRC, they are (or were) owned by Acer Labs. You can pickup a cheap ATI or NVidia PCI Express graphics card for about £30 nowadays, thats about the same sort of money as an AGP card, plus it allows for more expandability in the future. TBH, for the best expandability the way forward would probably be a Socket AM2 motherboard, DDR2 memory and PCI-Express, but IFAIK, Socket AM2 is still a little way away.
