The error message was client VM not supported. When I first wanted an accounts program I found Moneydance and it seemed very good. I had looked at GNU Cash but at that time it was not up to much. I would be quite happy to move across now except that I have more than three years' accounts held in a Moneydance file. I presume that GNU Cash would not be able to read that. So I am stuck with it unless I decide to start from scratch again. Meanwhile I will have a look at Cash.
