Yes. Any process running as an ordinary user can only modify or delete files and directories to which that user has access - not necessarily limited to the /home/ directory but principally /home/user. The only method of escalating these problems is via an exploit / vulnerability in one specific programme or a rootkit (which in turn is generally a result of an exploit for a vulnerability in a programme). -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.data-freedom.org/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/
