It would be good to point them at http://www.openadvantage.org/ and
http://www.skillswap.org/ - both of which already exist and are doing
very well, with skillswap really taking off in Bristol now, by all
accounts.

I'd really like to know where that 500k is going - apart from an
office and 3 salaries

I really hope they plan to do more open source than just one talk - no
offense, but the LUG has been organising pretty good education talks
on a budget of zero, and I'm even planning a talk with the devon and
cornwall perl mongers which will have speakers like Dave Cross
(Author, Speaker, Perl Foundation).
