If Motorola reduced it to USB only on later versions I'd be surprised, and not a little disappointed. I downloaded the PDF tech manual for the 4100 and it's rated up to 38Gb/s download :) In fact I've just downloaded the 5101 datasheet PDF and it *does* have Ethernet also, so no problem at all with Linux.
