I have an HP LaserJet 3150. It has seen better days, but still functions as Printer/Fax/Copier/Scanner, monochrome printing and scanning. Problem is, no GNU/Linux driver, no prospect of a GNU/Linux driver. About to abandon the last Window 95 install, and so it will become just one big paperweight. Somewhere I have the installation CD, and manual. If it is going to be used heavily you probably want to get the "repair kit" HP offer for free as it can sometimes feed an extra sheet of blank paper through when printing, apparently this is a known flaw, but it isn't frequent or a problem generally. Anyway if anyone is interested let me know. Simon PS: Can anyone recommend a good GNU/Linux printer, must have free software drivers, ideally already in the Debian repositories. Mostly for the odd letter, or poster, so a colour printer would perhaps be nice as well. Don't have a business from home, so I don't need anything too fancy. We have Brother printers at work, and their GNU/Linux support is pretty good. But I think a black and white laser printer is overkill, a nice cheap colour printer will probably do fine. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
