With those 64 bit processors, as well as the main power connector to the mobo, there is another smaller (6 pin I think) power supply which also must be connected. As the system was working, I assume it has been connected - but maybe it worked loose? I know from experience with my first 64 bit processor, that without that lead connected, nothing happens! I would certainly go through the entire box and remove and replace each lead and card to check for loose seating - it does happen from time to time.
