If I upgrade to Etch now, before the server goes live, I avoid a large upgrade later which could potentially cause problems. I really don't like dist-upgrading live servers, which is why on the existing server I stuck with Sarge once it went from testing to stable instead of continuing with the testing branch and going to Etch. But of course security is important, which is why I'm not really sure what to do...
