There are machines still running VMS, OS/2.PC-DOS, becuase they run a program that runs on thoat platform alone. (One of the promises of FLOSS, that seems highly likely to be delivered in any reasonable circumstance, is that people won't get locked by significant applications into old minority OS'.) So to find someone saying "I still use WIndows, becuase it is the only OS that the application I depend upon and prefer, and which is secret so not portable" is almost inevitable, given success.
