I'm getting a huge amount of stuff about "martian source" in syslog along the lines of:
Jul 8 09:24:23 remote kernel: printk: 33 messages suppressed.
Jul 8 09:24:23 remote kernel: martian source 10.0.15.255 from
10.0.12.117, on dev eth0
James,
Is 10.0.12.117 a valid machine on your network?
Jul 8 09:24:23 remote kernel: ll header: ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:00:05:5d:49:b1:6d:08:00
Try these commands to check how the 2 interfaces are configured for martians.I only get these on eth0 never eth1.
cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/eth0/log_martians cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/eth1/log_martians
Cheers,
Pete
