Agreed. On the HP-UX Administrators list the list would have "reply to author" as the default action, and authors were expected and encouraged to post a summary (prefixed with "Summary:"). This worked well from an archival perspective, if you found your question you just looked at the summary to find your answer, but it isn't clear how much effort was wasted duplicating queries to the original author, so I suspect it works less well where the environment isn't as strictly defined, and answers tend to be equally less well defined. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Comment: Encryption...is a powerful defensive weapon for free people.
