Outlook Express fails to correctly handle MIME "inline" parts of a multipart message - this is so broken as to be unforgivable, especially considering the paranoia over attachments these days. However to cope with Microsofts inability to implement any standard not directly feeding their bottom line, or fix anything that isn't a major security vulnerability, you can put the signature in the text part of the message. This is sometimes called "PGP inline", although I don't think their are fully agreed formal standards for this approach, it was the defacto method before the RFCs defined multipart MIME as the way to go PGP signatures. Of course this means they will see the signature, rather than having it quietly processed as any of the myriad of other email clients on the market, and available free would do. > And PLEASE don't bother telling me to get them to use a different mail > program. It's hard enough getting them to do anything as it is... I can send them an email today that will make their email client inoperable till you install something better if you think it will help ;) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Comment: Encryption...is a powerful defensive weapon for free people.
