[LUG] general hardware question?
In October I bought what I considered a fairly high-end computer (from a
major supplier on whom my opinion is reserved for now), and since then I
have experienced a deal of trouble getting a functional system; hard disc,
CPU, motherboard, just about everything has sequentially or parallel-ly
bust. The upshot of all this and a ray of hope on the horizon is that I now
can re-spec the machine.
As a matter of course I plan to dual-boot, so are there any hardware
configurations or manufacturers to use or avoid if I aim to achieve the
best (plug'n'play?) multimedia functionality from an OS OS such as one
running the popular GNU tools - maybe not hurd but the other one?
