But until the man on the Clapham omnibus can buy a desktop box, laptop, modem or whatever from PC World, badged with a nice penguin logo on it saying "Designed for GNU/Linux", and see for himself what GNU/Linux can really do, then he will continue to buy, use and accept M$ software and M$ badged hardware warts and all; because it's an easier option and after all - everyone uses M$, so it can't be that bad. My personal feeling is that it will never happen.
