Hi Peter here who has lost his Epson Scanner! Thanks Grant, sane-find-scanner did not find it. It however suggested I needen to load a driver for the USB and or need to install a kernel scanner module. Thanks Jon, nothing happened when I looked at the messages. So I disconnected my keyboard (on the USB hub). Few lines of stuff. Plugged it back: Jan 12 11:20:34 peter kernel: usb 1-3.2: new low speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4 Jan 12 11:20:34 peter kernel: input: USB HID v1.10 Keyboard [Microsoft Office Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:1d.7-3.2 Jan 12 11:20:35 peter kernel: input: USB HID v1.10 Device [Microsoft Office Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:1d.7-3.2 So something on the USB works. I also know the scanner works as I had to swallow my pride and drop back into windows to use it. I am toying with purchasing Fedora 3 (rather than cutting my own CDs) perhaps I should do that first?
