Unlike RMS I think embedded free software is important too,
I didn't know that - I fully support embedded Debian and I've asked to join an embedded Debian development project to port GnuCash to an embedded platform. The projects comply with the GNU GPL fully - an embedded device simply can't hold the source code nor can you compile software on the embedded device, so it's put on a CD - you have to have a full size computer to do anything with the source code anyway. Do you know his reasons, Simon? URL?
not least I don't want to be paying a fortune in licensing for my commodity electronics.
I just don't want to buy commodity electronics that need to reboot spontaneously! -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.codehelp.co.uk/ http://www.dclug.org.uk/ http://www.isbn.org.uk/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/isbnsearch/ http://www.biglumber.com/x/web?qs=0x8801094A28BCB3E3
