I finished the Debian GNU/Hurd K7 install to discover that my network card wasn't supported (no great surprise given the hardware), I think I'll try simpler older hardware see if I can build a fuller system, but running out of time before Saturday. I even got to put my knowledge of "ed" to good use in writing the menu.lst file, somehow I just know Matt won't like "ed" - think "vi" without the fancy fullscreen editting mode. I Can grab knoppix (latest) in a couple of hours so *HAND IN AIR*
We have one machine with a CD burner but it may be kind of busy, so if anyone else is bringing one along let me know - laptop CD burner would be most convenient I guess.
I have a USB cd burner and I will bring it but it will probably be more effective ofF somebody elses system as my laptop is old and slow.
