This is CRUCIAL. Robin almost certainly HAS assigned copyright to someone
else - it'll be in the original licence (of which there is now no trace).

Robin to find the licence for them, prove that it said that at that time, 
prove that it was understandable and prove that Robin intended to assign 
copyright.
If there is a contract involved it is easier, because there is an offer, an 
acceptance, and a consideration - and the person with the goods can point to 
the consideration.

Not if the original licence specifically assigned copyright away from
Robin.
