Re: [LUG] Mutt and mailing lists

Kai, have you specified the list in .muttrc as subscribed? I thought Mutt
handled this OK last time I used it.

I never use this in mutt because it's a pain to subscribe to lists
already with different APIs with different mailers.

Then I have to figure out how to confirm the subscription email, it can
change.

Then I have to create a maildir for the filter. Something with a good
name so I can search for it quickly and identify it. I am on A LOT of
mailing lists.

Then I have to discover how to filter the newly subscribed mailing list.
TO: sometimes isn't enough. That means I have to wait for a few mails
from the said mailing list to hit my inbox, and get back to filter regex
mode.

And by this time (10 minutes later) I am too exhausted to put anything
into my mutt configuration.

I think DCLUG works nicely with mutt thanks to the Reply-to: header.

IMO mailing lists suck. I prefer pull technology over push.
