I am trying to update to the latest version of vobcopy. Compilation fails due to lack of libdvdread -devel.
That's not uncommon, you'll need the develpment version of critical packages before any software can be compiled.

download what? libdvdread-devel? Which distro are you using? In Debian you have: libdvdread3 - Simple foundation for reading DVDs libdvdread3-dev - Simple foundation for reading DVDs so apt-get install libdvdread3-dev is required. Otherwise, search for a suitable libdvdread package and find the associated devel. Google found several libdvdread-devel RPM packages. http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/
from fresmeat & tuxfinder have so far failed to achieve a successful download.
You don't need to download the source for the -devel packages normally, try your distro CD first. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.codehelp.co.uk/ http://www.dclug.org.uk/ http://www.isbn.org.uk/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/isbnsearch/ http://www.biglumber.com/x/web?qs=0x8801094A28BCB3E3
