Working away fine, just finished with apt-get upgrade, browsing Debian bug tracking with Lynx, editing makefiles and DocBooks in Vi and browsing email in mutt (couldn't be bothered to load X) - all in all a successful session with 6 tty's in use. Decided to relocate upstairs to have a more comfy chair. Great. Unplug the ethernet cable, fine, unplug the mains cable from the laptop - DIE! The damn thing has been plugged in and running for 2 hours from mains, unplug the mains for 2 seconds and it just powers off! No low-power warnings, the recharge light had been on when plugged in, everything looked fine! Bugger!! I've now got 2 weeks to get a new battery before the extended warranty runs out! hehehehe. Just for once, an electrical device has broken down two weeks BEFORE the end of the warranty, not 2 weeks after it. :-)))) Still doesn't cover the cost of the extended warranty though. :-((( boohoo. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.codehelp.co.uk/ http://www.dclug.org.uk/ http://www.isbn.org.uk/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/isbnsearch/ http://www.biglumber.com/x/web?qs=0x8801094A28BCB3E3
