[LUG] SSE instruction set

Hi every one,
I have just had to order an XP2400 chip for my PC as my old athlon does not 
support the SSE intruction set.
I know I Have to reinstall windows to benifit from these intructions but will 
I have to reinstall SUSE9.0?
I assume all the programs I use in Linux don't use these intructions else they 
wouldent run.
I have never got Kino to work though,It freezes as soon as I plug in my 
camcorder,does anyone know if that uses the SSE instructions?
