[LUG] Video 8

I was giving myself something todo between meals, and that was to
convert family Video8 cam footage to mpeg. However the camera's Video 8
reader has just given up! :/  Does anyone have an old camera which I
could borrow for a couple of days, which can playback Video recordings?
