Gates has things a little wrong.
If he maintains DOS was written by him in 1974, check his age at that time!
If he means 1984 then wrong! CPM was the standard then for small 
machines and IBM had there own.
DOS was a lift from CPM and similar systems like Crystal (Xtal) DOS and 
others.
Gates has yet to prove he has written any useful software in his life, O 
yes he has lifted a lot, purchased a lot, but little else.
The truth is he's running scarred that Linux is winning the race, all he 
has got left is FUD. and lots of money, that will rapidly drain if he 
persists in trying to shoot down men of straw, a legal term for folk 
that have no financial backing.
Linux is King long live the King.
The same goes for SCO
