Alas 1.2.4 was the last version that supported gnome1 - and upgrading
that opens up a whole other can of worms since this machine is still
running redhat7.3 - though with much subsequent hand tweaking and
compiling - particularly of the production (audio editing) apps I use. I
have recently managed to acquire the ISO's but as this is somewhat of a
non-standard system and the only bandwidth I have is a 56k built in
modem reliant on proprietary drivers (that without credit card or paypal
account I can't get hold of again) I somewhat reluctant to embark on the
task - especially as I'm temporarily homeless and with a broken mobile,
email is the only way people have of contacting me. One day soon though,
I hope.
