I use a Redhat boxto do what David describes, and it works well. But the simple luddite way is just to plug a wireless access point into the protected side of the LAN. At least fine for home networks, your paranoia may vary, not many drive-by crackers in Woodbury Salterton ;) The cheap SMC access point works with OpenAP if you don't want propietary lockout from your access point software. Indeed many reports say it works better with OpenAP, but I found it a solid enough piece of kit, if not terribly featured compared to Intel's own kit. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQE/c3fNGFXfHI9FVgYRAsTcAKCgHMoHqnM2NXxNaGqFe9LoW9A3gACgiiaR xVaV9H/tAPgo4hdrKbBvkVU= =1MXG -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
