-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Linux uses a set of software to interface with scanners called "SANE" The Sane web site [ http://www.mostang.com/sane/ ] has a list of supported and unsupported scanners. In my experience the newest scanners, i.e. those you are most likely to find in shops, are least liikely to be supported. Another thing to watch for is that some manufacturers will give what is basically the same model, a different designation in America and Europe.
