Good to hear of an IT & OSS aware MP.

While the UK commercial world is slow and diffident about using OSS due to
FUD and perhaps lack of hand-holding, isn't this an example of where
governement should be leading the way.

I.E. if the country as whole and business would benefit from an increased
use of OSS then it is govt's job to promote it.

Germany does, <OT> but then are we politically in the pocket of the US?

Perish the thought</OT>.
