I think the question is "why do you care what format is used?". If you are building a huge IMAP service, perhaps for commercial sale to many thousands of users, using (or intending to use) multiple mail servers, it may become an issue. Interesting benchmark here; http://www.courier-mta.org/mbox-vs-maildir/ Basically says it is software quality not underlying format that dominates performance - oh so common a result. I believe also if you insist on using qmail it may be easier to use Courier IMAP server. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQE+9BSmGFXfHI9FVgYRAleGAJ4m5tfTlTFprG/LVoPq7WcfiFcOcQCfdjah Yb3hieFaVxSC5iGlNIw9tVw= =nt1X -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
