i agree - and i know web designers who spend masses of time checking 
their sites for diferent OS's browsers etc cos their version of DW can't 
be trusted to produce decent code.   however, doesn't the new 
dreamweaver MX produce strict/transitional XHTML 1.0/HTML 4.0 if you 
want it to?



BTW - i say this as a recent emacs convert.  i've gone from...

position 1 - emacs is for beardies who are stuck in the 70's and i 
wouldn't touch it with a bargepole - to

position 2 - emacs one of the true joys of open source programming and i 
use it for everything!!!
