Thanks for that, once I have sorted out the issues with the cd burner Linux i can download and make a few copies of the cdrom, perhaps there could be a few copies of the cdrom for our next meet. I will see what I can do and if I can figure out how to get windows burning iso files, i can do it dead easy in Linux when things work properly. paul ----- Original Message ----- r From: "Tony Atkin" <tone_pl@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, April 17, 2003 3:06 PM Subject: Re: [LUG] openoffice.org 1.0.3 now available on cdrom from me -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 On Thursday 17 April 2003 11:40 am, Paul Sutton wrote: > Also would it be a good idea to have the windows version unarchived, so > any windows users can just click on setup and have it install the > software, like you would with MS office. Can't remember if I published this on the list before, so forgive me if I am being repetitive. A good gift for windows users might be a copy of the GNUWin II cd http://gnuwin.epfl.ch which is full of free software for windows, most of it GPL. It includes OOo 1.01 and Tux Racer :) Also has lots of advocacy for GNU, Open Source and Linux.
