I think it's all being mucked up by Firestarter, which is what I'm trying get rid of (it's crap). "iptables -F" has the effect of blocking all internet connections, which is I guess why my internet connection doesn't work unless Firestarter is running. Plus Firestarter crashes every time you reconnect, which is doubly annoying! How do I remove firestarter? Or least stop it from meddling?
