If content had to be approved before publishing, people might just as well join the mailing list, after all, email content is NEVER approved, moderated or filtered - it all ends up in the archive come what may. Seems daft to moderate one and not the other - the members area is for personal / private details, the Wiki and the mailing list for general, public stuff.
