I must say having had a chance to look at the Freeduc CD supplied by Linux Format a couple of months ago I was very impressed. The only niggle I had was that it would not work with one of my machines that had a network card in it. It seemed to configure the network card and then try to ( I assume) use DHCP to get an IP address after a while it gave up and droped the card from the network (connection light went out on hub) but then refused to continue to boot. I would be very happy to rip off (burn) some copies of Freeduc to bring to the meeting, however I noticed on the Freeduc / OFSET website that they think there is an issue with the fact that they do not supply source as specified under the terms of the GPL agreement. This apparently didn't stop Linux Format from putting it on their front cover a couple of months back. Do you think it would be ok / useful to do this (I was thinking of burning approx 10 copies) ? The other issue I have is my sucessful burn ratio is about 50:50. Has anyone else had problems with ViaStar blank CD's ( I can't complain they where a Chrismas Present !). This is even after bringing my burn speed down to 4. Tom. Information in this message is confidential and may be legally privileged.
