Check your start-up screen - most BIOS' will display the number and type of hard drives found and the number and type of other internal devices like CD's too. If it doesn't show, it probably won't work. If it does show, Linux will work it. That's where the jumper settings and master/slave configuration is important - if you confuse the BIOS, Linux won't be able to find some of the drives. - -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.codehelp.co.uk http://www.dclug.org.uk -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQE+KvTviAEJSii8s+MRAiPHAJ4obEJIrfisNr70dxc9MPWx/PZWeQCcDAo7 yQSrGLA1ByEfEcbhcy8lIOU= =mTEQ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
