[LUG] MP3's/ESD

I am using ESD for my sound in Gnome, some of the time the sound will 
distort, and the voices (if a music mp3) will fade out, and a lot of the 
time i get a lot of "fuzz"

Has anyone else come across this ? If so was there a solution ?
