Anybody got any ideas on how to replace a long text string across multiple
text files, using only a piece of paper, a pen, a piece of string and a linux
box?
It gets kind of messy if the text string can be broken at different line lengths and the like, recurs repeatedly on the same line (you can always run it twice and make sure it does nothing the next time just to be sure).
The SED FAQ tells you how to do it in both PERL and sed
