[LUG] printing help

I tried to set up lprng for Marten's HP printer. It's a remote
printer, so I couldn't use standard lpd, since it's not capable of
filtering for a remote printer.

We can get it to print text, but anything PS based is comping out as
printed postscript.

Any thoughts.

I'm happy to here "don't use lprng" if there is a good alternative,
like gimp-print, or whatever.

In a similar vein, the school printer, a Sharp AR-161, uses lprng
remote filtering too and cuts the top and bottom off.
